Human beings have asked four essential questions since the dawn of time: Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? Why am I here? This quartet of philosophical mysteries has helped to birth the world’s faith traditions, and given rise to the formalized practice of spiritual self-inquiry, which dates back at least 5,000 years to the time of India’s first Vedic sages. In this month’s edition of The Seekers Forum, we’ll be looking at the ancient art of self-inquiry and its power to liberate a person from existential confusion, by revealing the divine nature that we all share. But how do these questions serve to free us? What’s the benefit of contemplating first principles that may seem beyond our reach? And how can we establish an ongoing practice of self-inquiry that strengthens awareness of our essential being and grounds us more firmly in our own lives? These are some of the topics we’ll be covering in this month’s program.
