Writing Prompts:

1. Describe the qualities that define you, the traits without which you would no longer be yourself. Be specific.

  • What characteristics do you believe define you, and why?
  • Who might you be without these qualities?
  • Which traits do you take the most pride in, and why?

2. Which aspects of yourself are most problematic? How and why do you cling to these qualities? Be specific.

  • When and why do you cling to your faults? Be specific.
  • Who might you be without these qualities?
  • Do you feel affection towards certain character flaws? If so, why?
