Mark Nepo Event

Join Mark Matousek and his special guest, poet/philosopher Mark Nepo, for an in-depth conversation about healing social divisions using self-inquiry and the power of compassion. They'll talk about overcoming stereotypes, the downsides of partisanship, group narcissism, and the human tendency to self-favoritism that keeps us at odds with one another. "Love your crooked neighbor with your crooked heart," advised W.H. Auden. That's the unifying message of the special event. They'll also talk about Mark Nepo's upcoming book, The Fifth Season, which explores the profound journey of aging, and finding meaning through life's "contractions."
