Freedom from Regret and Recrimination

In Mark's presentation he said, "you cannot look forward and backward at the same time". We never repeat thoughts or actions. We exhibit continuous reactive, habitual thinking and actions. Consider because we can't look forward and backward concurrently the concept of time is invalid, there is only the collective "I".

Mind makes the fact of perceiving stand for the existence of an individual self.

Regret and recrimination disintegrate in the knowledge that we are living systems who constantly create the new. It's like saying "you can't dip your toe in the same river twice" the water is always moving. Cognition is the flowing water of human experience. Regret and recrimination stop the flow of my experience. I can be like the flowing water, free of constraint.

Hi Madeline- I like your quote about not being able to dip your toe in the same river twice!  Also your wish to be like flowing water, free of constraint.  I admire the discipline of your brevity.  Thanks for sharing - Devon
